Thank you Minuteman Press in Timmins for donating 100 sponsor letters and thank you Wally Bidwell for contacting them. I just finished signing every last one of them and they’re ready to be sent off to some local businesses.
It’s amazing to think that if every business that received a letter donated $100 we would surpass the goal. Just from the donations from generous individuals the total already stands at $480 in only 3 days! Plus the Leafs merchandise is yet to be auctioned off and the media hasn’t even been contacted yet. There’s been some remarkable progress.
There are some minor details to be worked out like finding an air hockey table and an opponent. Brad is looking into finding a table and I’m trying to make a list of possible opponents so things seem to be all under control.
I discovered that in January someone tried to top the current record. On Guinness’s website the record still supposedly stands at 20 hours but I’m a little worried. Guinness has not officially recognized their record but if they do, it might mean that we might have to play for a little longer. Oh well! The plan was always to play until we couldn’t possibly continue.
